In January 2013, China's NDRC has fined a combined ¥353 million on six LCD global manufacturers for price fixing. And after that, NDRC has fined Chinese domestic jewelry store in August 2013 and also Japanese automobile-related companies in August 2014 for price fixing. These cases are the examples of China's tightening up on antitrust law violations.
Chines Anti-Monopoly Law Regulator is composed of an antitrust committee and three antitrust law enforcement agencies and one antitrust agencies. And it is the Bureau of Price Supervision and Anti-Monopoly as a NRDC-affiliated institute that is responsible for regulations of price-fixing. By the way, it is not easy to foresee range of applications in connection with price-fixing, because there are many vague codes and has not been authoritative interpretation about them. But at least, we can know that regulator is considered that they widen the scope of application by cases of article.
Therefore Korean enterprises trying to enter China's market should take every measure in preparation for the positive Anti-Monopoly Law by checking the related codes on price-fixing.
